The Typical Patient

  • Anyone that desires a rounder, more prominent and muscular appearing chest.
  • This can be done to correct some unevenness from one side to the other.
  • It is useful in any patient that works out regularly and just cannot achieve the chest size you desire. It will not interfere with a full return to your work outs.
  • This can be combined with reducing the size of the nipples and areolae, or other cosmetic surgery procedures.

The Procedure

  • An incision high in your armpit two inches long is used to create a space between the two chest wall muscles. These are the pectoralis major and the pectoralis minor. The implant is placed between the two muscles. It is well camoflauged and safe in this position.
  • The implants are soft silicone block. This means they cannot leak or spread since there is no gel or fluid. They come in different shapes and sizes to accommodate any anatomic features and the cosmetic look you desire.
  • Anesthesia is a general anesthetic so you do not feel, or remember, anything.
  • The surgery lasts about two hours. You can go home afterwards.
  • You see your results immediately.
  • A compressive dressing and garment is needed. These are easily concealed, and worn for about 3-4 weeks or less.
  • There are no drains.
  • This can be combined with other cosmetic surgical procedures.

The Recovery

  • You can go back to work or your light activities within days as tolerated. You can return to some lower body exercise in 2-3 weeks, and full workouts somewhere between 4-6 weeks.
  • You can shower and wash in two days.
  • There is mild to moderate pain that is present in its worst form for only about two days then rapidly subsides.
  • Swelling is mild to moderate and peaks at two to three days then disappears rapidly.
  • Minimal or no bruising is the usual.

The Result

  • Beautiful, balanced and proportioned contour.
  • Enlarged, full-bodied, muscular chest appearance that is natural.
  • A normal result that does not look artificial or unusual even when flexing or working your muscles.
  • A long lasting safe result that does not change, deform, or sag over time.
